COLORBLOCK - VOLUME 2

When Colour Became Culture

Colour blocking didn't begin in streetwear.

It first emerged in modern art before finding its way into sportswear throughout the 1970s and 1980s. Bold fields of colour shaped silhouettes, enhanced movement, and gave garments an instantly recognisable identity.

The streets made it their own.

Skateboarding, basketball, hip-hop, and music transformed a functional design language into a cultural signature. Colour contrast became a way to express identity.

Created in collaboration with guitarist Juliet (@Notziway) for her 2026 festival tour, this limited edition reinterprets that legacy through a contemporary oversized silhouette.

But this piece tells another story.

Each T-shirt is crafted from carefully sourced surplus fabrics, chosen for their exceptional quality rather than newly produced. The jersey is knitted in France from GOTS-certified organic cotton, then cut and sewn in our workshop as a limited edition.

A different way of creating. One that gives existing materials a new purpose instead of demanding new resources.

Because clothing can express more than style.

It can carry a story.

It can carry conviction.
